Working Principle
The head pulley magnet named as head pulley magnet or dry drum permanent magnetic separator also, is a self cleaning magnet which removes foreign tramp ferrous metals from bulk materials on a belt conveyor or separate the non-magnetic materials out of magnetic materials on a belt conveyor.  The magnetic field adheres magnetic materials to the belt as all materials passes over the head pulley. The magnetic materials from the underflow can be safely captured together.

Features
Large magnetic envelope angle design, magnetic envelope angle less than 180 degrees, increase the length of the separation area and the number of magnetic inversion, achieve the effective separation of magnetic materials and non (weak) magnetic materials.
Neodymium-iron-boron magnets are used in all magnetic systems to ensure high magnetic field intensity and large depth of action.
The demagnetization rate of magnetic field intensity is less than 5% after 8 years.
The magnetic system is protected by stainless steel plate to ensure that the magnetic block does not fall off.
The shell of the pulley is made of stainless steel and lined with wear-resistant rubber outside, which has a long service life.
When it is used as the driving pulley of the belt conveyor, the length of the conveyor should be less than 100 meters.

Application
It is used for dry pre-concentration of magnetite ores with size less than 300 mm before grinding. Usually it can reject some gangues to improve the iron grade before grinding.
